How do I validate a record?

To validate a record, simply follow the instructions below:

  1. Ensure that as much information as possible is entered into the record and the record has been saved.
  2. Click on Tab A (File Opening Information)
  3. Click on the pencil icon beside the Documents to Prepare section



  4. Select the documents you would like to validate the record for: Last Will & Testament, Power of Attorney for Property, Power of Attorney for Personal Care, Health Care Directive.
    Note: Once the record is validated, this section cannot be changed or updated.  In addition, the fees will be based on the number of documents you are trying to prepare.
    Example: If you are only validating for Power of Attorney for Property or Power of Attorney for Personal Care, the charge for the record will be $16 (plus taxes).  If validating for the Last Will and Testament as well, the record will be $33 (plus taxes).  You will always be able to confirm pricing prior to completing the validation.



  5. Once you have checked off the validation type required, click on the lock icon beside the Pay-per-Use Status section.
  6. Enter a name in the sections for Requested by: and an Authorized by: and click on Submit.
